We didn’t have much time during the workshop to discuss environmental scans. Here are a few resources that discuss the process of surveying existing work and framing how your digital project fits into the larger conversation. (Conceptually this is not much different from a thesis or dissertation). For a digital project, don’t just look at content. Try examining projects with similar methods, tools, resources, and timelines to what you’d like to accomplish.
